Fourteen men qualify for the trenches

Twenty per cent of Men Examined and Placed in Combatant Category.

            Fourteen men were passed for Class A2 by the medical board of review at the Armory yesterday. Most of the men examined came from the north and were an unusually fine lot of candidates from a physical standpoint.

            Of some 3,000 assigned to this district, 650 have been examined so far and about 20 per cent have been passed as fit for active service at the front, yesterday’s results were as follows:
