GENERAL HOSPITAL HOLDS GRADUATING EXERCISES

Especially attractive in their professional garb, the members of this year’s graduating class at the General hospital filed into the crowded assembly hall of the hospital last (?)

A profusion of flowers made a pleasing setting for the reception.

Dr. A. Blais, chairman in a few introductory   remarks spoke of the splendid success in both studies and examinations of this year’s class and congratulated the members.  He introduced His Grace, Archbishop O’Leary, who also spoke in congratulatory strain and presented the diplomas.

Dr. J. L. Petitclerc, and Mr. and. Mrs. Underwood presented and pinned on the school medals.  As the graduation descended from the Platform, Dr. J. L. Petitclerc and Dr. J. O. Baker, who presented each, with large bouquets of roses, met them.

Other speakers were, His Honor Lieutenant-Governor Brett, Dr. H. E. Chatham and Dr. W. Scanlon who referred to the high places taken in the past by the graduates from the general hospital.

A musical programme arranged by Madame Gagner included a vocal solo by Miss Jennie Cameron and Mr. T. Smith and a violin solo by Madame Gagner’s daughter Constance.
