HOUSE SCENE OF
SMART
RECEPTION IN HONOR
OF
THE
UNIVERSITY GRADUATES
One of the smartest
social affairs given for some time was the reception held yesterday afternoon
at government house by Lieutenant Governvor L.G. Brett and Mrs. Brett in honor
of the graduating class of the University of Alberta. The rooms were gay with many flowering plants and ferns, and in
the conservatory were many beautiful flowers.
The tea table was attractively orated with red geraniums in silver vases
and silver candelabras with silver shades all resting on a cluny lace runner
and doilies over green silk.
Mrs. George Malcomson
presided over the coffee urn, and Mrs Ingita served the tea, and both were
assisted by many of the young men present.
