CRANBROOK, B.C., July 6.-- The following pupils were promoted from the two
Central school entrance classes on the principal's recommendation: Ernest
Worden, Nora Miles, Leitch Paterson, Helen Heise, David Evans, Paul Harrison,
Mildred Bridges, A. Arthur Sakaguchi, Nellie Miller, Ida MacGregor, Frank
Martin, Jack Atchinson, Madeline Woodman, Norma Surtees, David Weston, Audrey

Miss Wharton, of Guelph, Ont., arrived in Red Deer last week, and will visit
her sister, Mrs. Geo. Orme, for the summer.
Mrs. J. E. Robertson and Miss Mary Robertson are leaving this week-end to spend
holidays at their cottage at Gull Lake.
E. Vincent and Miss Betty Vincent, Horn Hill, are leaving on Monday for a trip
to Ontario.
Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Munn are leaving this week-end to spend three weeks at
Banff.
Mrs. E. D. O'Neil, Mrs. C. J. Streatch, and Mr. Frank Streatch, are away on a
trip to the coast.
Mrs. Geo. Matheson, Delor Matheson, and Georgina Matheson, left on Wednesday
for Eden, Elgin county, Ont., where Mrs. Matheson's parents live, and where
they will make their home for some time.
Mrs. Polly Leonard left Friday for a trip to Vancouver, B.C.
Grant Lockwood, from Saskatchewan, is visiting Mrs. Leonard and family.
Mr. and Mrs. John Lund, from California, are visiting relatives here.
Mrs. R. H. Edgar and Mrs. T. J. Sills left on Wednesday to visit relatives in
Washington.
