Crescent Heights High School Christmas Report
Following is the report of the Christmas examinations held in
Crescent Heights High school for the fall term. Under the new course of study
in this province, each subject is considered as a separate unit and pupils are
credited with the number of units on which they have secured 50 per cent. The
number of subjects considered to be a full course in our Grade IX year is
eight, in Grade X, seven, Grade XI, seven, and Grade XII, eight. Each grade is
being subdivided into four groups:--
(a) Those taking the full course in any grade.
(b) Those taking partial courses, part in one grade and part in another.
(c) Special students taking only a certain number of subjects in one grade.
(d) Unclassified students, who have been unable, through illness, to take all
the examinations.
Under each of these groups the students are arranged according to their
percentages in that group. This is not meant to rank the students in the
classes, but merely for comparative purposes with others who are taking similar
courses. All of our students are now being required to adjust the subjects
being taken to the ability they have shown.
Individual reports will be sent home immediately after the holidays.
