HAT INFANTRY TEST RESULTS ANNOUNCED

MEDICINE HAT, June 17.-- The results of the examinations which took place at
the provincial school of infantry this past spring at Medicine Hat have come to
hand. Capt. R. L. Mitchell, P.P.C.L.I., had charge of the test papers and the
Medicine Hat and Redcliff members of the First Battalion, South Alberta
Regiment, made a good showing.
The following theoretical results are completed and a practical test will have
to be met in order to make it possible to be in a position to have the
promotion verified: Capt. N. White, passed for major; Lieut. D. Lindsay, passed
for captain; Second Lieut. D. Hawthorne, passed for lieutenant; Second
Lieut. A. T. Stephenson, passed for lieutenant; Second Lieut. R. A. Ireland,
passed for lieutenant;
Second Lieut. G. S. Grant, passed for lieutenant.
The following passed the theoretical examination for sergeant: R. Fairhurst, G.
McQueen, B. McKenzie, J. Roach, M. Hendrick, P. Papsdorf, F. Novak, R. Y.
Lawson, E. R. Breadfoot, B. F. Woodcock, R. W. Dunn.
