Graduation Ball Concludes Gay Series Of Affairs
Athabasca Setting for Farewell Party-- White
Frocks Are Lovely
Although the Graduation ball held in Athabasca Hall at the University on
Tuesday evening in honor of the class of 1933, marked for many students the
last social function which they will attend for years to come, there was
nothing of the carefree happiness which is the spirit of graduation lacking.
Many of the University Alumni were guests, and enjoyed the opportunity to meet
faculty members and to welcome the youngest members to the Alumni Association.
White Graduation frocks of cloudy lace or net, or of the fresh organdies that
are so popular this year, were as lovely as the flowers worn by the women
members of the class. Many smart new summer dance frocks were seen, the gay new
colors off setting the white of the graduation frocks.
Patronesses of the occasion were Mrs. W. L. Walsh, Mrs. A. C. Rutherford, Mrs.
Robert Wallace, Mrs. E. K. Broadus, Mrs. W. H. Alexander, and Miss Florence Dodd.
