Annual Picnic Held By Ambulance Men
CANMORE-- (Special)-- About 100 members of Canmore Centre, St. John Ambulance
Association, were present at the annual picnic, held in ideal weather at
Bowfort Lake. The affair was held on the grounds of the Canmore Y.M.C.A. camp.
Various sports were staged and boating and swimming proved popular. Winners of
the various events were: Clock golf; singles, ladies, Mrs. R. M. Young, Mrs. A.
B. Latimer; men's singles, J. Antonuik, M. Riva; doubles, Mrs. W. Musgrove and
A. Fox, Miss E. A. Hill and W. S. Appleby; single ladies' dash, Miss H. Jacobs;
single men's dash, M. Dewis; married ladies' dash, Mrs. M. Hubman; married
men's dash, J. Evans; relay race, M. Dewis and H. Jacobs; thread and needle
race, H. Jacobs and M. Dewis; wheelbarrow race, M. Hubman and L. Anderson; egg
and spoon race, married ladies, Mrs. M. Bestwick; single ladies' Miss E. A.
Hill; Jiggs'
