Illinois is 390 miles long and 210 miles wide. Illinois covers 57,918 square miles, making it the 25th largest in the States.

Land Area: 55,593 square miles.

Water Area: 2,325 square miles.

Illinois is bordered by Wisconsin on the north, Kentucky on the south, Lake Michigan and Indiana on the east, Iowa and Missouri on the west.
