New York is 330 miles long and 283 miles wide. New York covers 54,475 square miles, making it the 27th largest in the States.
Land Area: 48,708 square miles.
Water Area: 7,251 square miles.
New York is bordered by Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, and Canada on the north, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the Atlantic Ocean on the south, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut on the east and Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, Canada and Pennsylvania on the west.
