Courts
Court records show the following legal actions among those taken recently in Juneau Superior and District courts.
Judgments:
- Kevin Firestack, 41, was found guilty of driving under the influence, stemming from an Aug. 16, 2006, incident from which no blood-alcohol level was available. Juneau District Court Judge Keith B. Levy, imposed 20 days in jail with 40 days suspended, ordered Firestack to pay $3,000 with none suspended, revoked his license for one year and placed him on probation for two years.
- Dixie Hood, 73, was found guilty of driving while intoxicated, stemming from an Aug. 27, 2006, incident from which no blood-alcohol level was measured. Juneau Magistrate John W. Sivertsen Jr., ordered Hood to pay $300 with none suspended.
- Brian Deraimer, 36, was found guilty of driving under the influence, stemming from a Sept. 16, 2006, incident from which his blood-alcohol level was measured at .161 percent. Levy imposed 20 days in jail with 80 days suspended, ordered Deraimer to pay $5,000 with $2,000 suspended, revoked his license for one year and placed him on probation for three years.
- Mark Peterson, 44, was found guilty of driving while intoxicated, stemming from an Oct. 19, 2006, incident from which his blood-alcohol level was measured at .160 percent. Silvertsen imposed 6 days in jail with 40 days suspended, ordered Peterson to pay $3,000 with $1,500 suspended, revoked his license for 90 days and placed him on probation for 18 months.
- Norman Neimi, 63, was found guilty of driving while intoxicated, stemming from a Nov. 22, 2006, incident from which his blood-alcohol level was measured at .254 percent. Levy imposed 6 days in jail with 40 days suspended, ordered Neimi to pay $3,000 with $1,500 suspended, revoked his license for 90 days and placed him on probation for two years.
