Courts
Court records show the following legal actions among those taken recently in Juneau Superior and District courts.
Judgments:
- John P. Silva, 20, was found guilty of driving under the influence, stemming from a Sept. 7, 2006, incident from which no blood-alcohol level was available. Juneau District Court Judge Keith B. Levy, imposed 20 days in jail with 40 days suspended, ordered Silva to pay $3,000 with none suspended, revoked his license for one year and placed him on probation for two years.
- Jesse C. Grochow, 22, was found guilty of driving while intoxicated, stemming from a Nov. 21, 2006, incident from which Grochow's blood-alcohol level was measured at .175 percent. Juneau Magistrate John W. Sivertsen Jr., imposed 6 days in jail with 40 days suspended, ordered Grochow to pay $3,000 with $1,500 suspended, revoked Grochow's license for one year and placed Grochow on probation for 18 months.
