Courts
Court records show the following legal actions among those taken recently in Juneau Superior and District courts.
Judgments:
- Mathew St. Clair, 27, was found guilty of driving under the influence, stemming from a Feb. 14, 2006, incident from which no blood-alcohol was available. Juneau Superior Court Judge Larry Weeks imposed three years in jail with none suspended, fined St. Clair $10,000 and permanently revoked his license.
- Dirk Lovig, 53, was found guilty of driving under the influence, stemming from a May 1, 2006, incident from which his blood-alcohol was measured at .196 percent. Juneau District Court Judge Keith B. Levy, imposed 60 days in jail with 60 days suspended, ordered Lovig to pay $6,000 with $2,000 suspended, revoked his license for three years and placed him on probation for five years.
- Jared Fortin, 22, was found guilty of driving under the influence, stemming from a June 17, 2006, incident from which no blood-alcohol was available. Levy imposed 45 days in jail with 200 days suspended, ordered Fortin to pay $3,000 with none suspended, revoked his license for one year and placed him on probation for five years.
- Anthony D. Reyes, 16, was found guilty of driving under the influence, stemming from a Dec. 23, 2006, incident from which his blood-alcohol was measured at .125 percent. Levy imposed 4 days in jail with 86 days suspended, ordered Reyes to pay $1,500 with none suspended, revoked his license for 90 days and placed him on probation for one year.
