Objectives of NSDAR

The objectives of the NSDAR are to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism.  The Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit, non-political, volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing America's future through better education. The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) was founded on October 11, 1890, and incorporated by an Act of Congress in 1896.  Nationally NSDAR has 170,000 members in 3,000 chapters in all 50 states and Washington, D.C.  International chapters are in Australia, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom
