  (George Herning was a local store keeper and general entrepreneur. The diary mentions who came to the store, what was going on, who traveled where, & his activities around the valley.There is also a Map dated 1906 that he copyrighted BUT it has not yet been located. There is a partial index of people mentioned in the diaries. Any requests to look up in this would have to be by name or very date specific.)

  These are weekly newsletters/papers published by the Matanuska Valley Farmer's Coop. Like many small papers, they mention names as often as they can. There are obits as well. Local "newsy" items, who visited who, who was burned out, local ads, etc. THERE IS NO INDEX they run 4-9 legal size sheets per week. Any research request would have to be fairly date specific. They look like memograph and are on poor quality paper.
  
  Also there is a March 1937 map showing owner names of each parcel of land from Wasilla to north of Palmer down to the hay flats.
