Where to write for Vital Information
We cannot do lookups for birth or death certificates. Alaska's state constitution has strict privacy provisions, and as a result, birth, death, divorce, and marriage certificates are only available from the Alaska Bureau of Vital Statistics in the Department of Health and Social Services. Access to birth and death certificates is often restricted to immediate relatives.
