November 28, 1849:

Married on Thursday evening, the 15th instant, by Reverend H. Talbird, Mr. Peterson G. HALL, of Autauga County, to Miss Margaret Emeline HOGAN, of Montgomery County.

Also at the same time, Mr. Berry TATUM to Miss Francis Jane HOGAN, both of Montgomery County.

December 26, 1849:

Married at Hickory Grove Church, Montgomery County, December 20th, 1849, by Reverend Matthew Bishop, Reverend Azor VAN HOOSE of Tuscaloosa, to Miss Martha R. COLEMAN, daughter of Mrs. Mary COLEMAN, of Montgomery.

At the same time and place, and by the same, Reverend D.P.J. MURPHY to Miss Charlotte ARMSTRONG, daughter of Mrs. Nancy ARMSTRONG, both of Montgomery County.

Died on the 30th November, in Autauga County, Miss Sarah Parilee NUNN.

May 1, 1850:

Departed this life, in Montgomery County, Alabama on the 18th April 1850, Dr. James L. WILLIAMS, in the 41st year of his age. Dr. WILLIAMS was a native of Edgefield District, South Carolina… In 1843 he located himself permanently in Montgomery County, in this state… A short time after his removal, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary A. DAWSON, of Chambers County… He has left behind a wife and three small children (not named) to mourn their irreparable loss…

Southwestern Baptist, Montgomery, Alabama

August 19, 1853:

Died at his residence in Autauga County, on Sunday, the 24th ultimo, Elder Enoch HAYS, and old and faithful minister of the Gospel in the Baptist church; leaving his aged wife and many children (not named) to mourn the sad bereavement. His body rests in the grave and his spirit has returned to God who gave it.
