Coosada Volunteers

The Coosawda Volunteers were mustered into service in the spring of 1836, at Montgomery, Alabama, to check the advance of the Creeks until other units could be placed in the field. This  list of soldiers, provided by Paul Muller, was taken from the book “Alabama Troops in the Indian Wars --- Creek War 1836 –1837,” which is located in the West Florida Regional Library, Pensacola, Florida.
