Seeking information on Blake B. TRENT, wife Sabra BISHOP ? resident of Calhoun County, listed in documents in Dec. 1858 as being about 75years old. This B.B. TRENT was in Alabama Militia in Creek War of 1836, a volunteer from Chambers County, AL in 1836. B.B. was supposedly a physician. I am seeking a will or other information about his death which would prob. have been not too long after 1858. Any assistance appreciated, gladly share info.

CAHILL, GRIFFIN, KAHILL, TEAL posted by Patricia Camp-Mullis on Saturday, August 29, 1998

Searching for information regarding the John R. KAHILL family found in 1860 Calhoun County Census, pg #540. I would like any information that is available. My Grandfather John Jackson CAHILL was b 7/22/1871. His mother, Francis Elizabeth Teal CAHILL is found in the 1870 US Census for Dekalb Co,Al. living in the household with her sister, Rebecca Teal GRIFFIN and Rebecca's small one Will. This found on pg 878. On the same page are others of her family, mainly her mother, Frances TEAL and a brother, Zachariah TEAL. In the 1880 US Census, Francis Elizabeth CAHILL and her son, my grandfather, were living in Marshall Co.,AL. with another brother,Wm. J. J. TEAL and his family. I have accepted that my grandfather could have been illegimate, but why would Francis Elizabeth Teal CAHILL use the CAHILL name at census taken June 14, 1870 when John Jackson CAHILL wasn't born until July 22, 1871? There is a difference of 13 months there. My grandfathers death certificate lists Alee CAHILL as his father. Could he be either James A. M. KAHILL or the younger male, Elisha A. KAHILL listed in the Calhoun Co.,Al. 1860 Census? I have no parents, aunts, uncles or anyone else to help me solve this family question and hope there will be someone in Calhoun Co. who could help.
