Researching Richard Greon WHARTON/WHORTON/HORTON and Bartley WHARTON/WHORTON/HORTON of Fruithurst, Benton Co., AL circa 1909. Attempting to find the exact burial place(s) of above mentioned believed to be buried at "The Old Mt. Olive Church" which burned down and was rebuilt as "Crossroads". Bethsadia #2 is a contender as well but are looking for records, church type, to result in the placement of a proper headstone. Also looking for a description of directions leading to "The Old Mt. Olive Church Cemetary.

Am searching for ancestors of Alonzo Crawford THOMPSON who lived with wife, Eliza Ann PRESTRIDGE (PRESTAGE) THOMPSON in Cleburne Co., AL in 1917. Believe his father's name was Peter THOMPSON and mother's name was Elizabeth ABACUS or similiar sound. My father who is 81 has never been in contact with any uncles or aunts in this family. In 1877 Mark COPPOCK went to probate court to sign papers to allow his two youngest children to be raised by someone else. He was elderly and in poor health. The names were Eliza A COPPOCK age 8 and William C COPPOCK age 4 - children may have taken name of new family as I cannot find either on any census under COPPOCK. The mother of these children belived to be Martha PARKER COPPOCK, do not what happened to Martha. Appreciate any information and will share what I have.
