Searching for any data about Edward Elijah PHILLIPS. BLM records show a land grant of 119 acres to him under name Elijah, in 1891 in Cleburne County. He subsequently died in a hunting accident. His wife, Amanda Jane (Manda J. in BLM records) received a land grant in her own right 12, July 1894 for 79.84 acres (6.5 months after Elijah's death, and 2 months before birth of Elijah's last child, Lucy. Children were Lonnie 1873, Jeanie 1875, Bennie 1877, Robert Eli 1879, John Edward 1881, Razzie 1886, Mollie 1887, Howard William 1889, Alice Ray 1891, Lucy Ethel 1893. Any dayt, expecially ancestral would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for info on Zeal BROWN, born 1819 in Georgia. He married Betsey G. BROCK, born 1822. They had at least seven children: Patsy, Elmyra, David S., Jarusha, Joseph, B. Abigail, and William Zealous. Zeal, Betsey, and children are buried in Cleburne Co., Alabama. Any info is greatly appreciated!

I am interested in any information on a James W BROWN who is said to be buried at Oak Level Cemetery. He had a son named Jeremy (Jermany). I am a descendant of Jermany Jesse BROWN. He possibly served in the Civil War from Benton County. He is buried at Trinity Cemetery in DeKalb Co., Al. James' wife was possibly named Mary "Tiny" or "Tinsey". Can you help?

I am trying to find information on David Taylor HICKS who was born in 1867, he was the son of John A. and Susannah HICKS who moved to Cleburn Cty. from North Carolina. David Taylor HICKS was the father of James Elbert HICKS, born in May of 1898 and married Erealu McINTRYE, who was born in December of 1900. Seems David Taylor HICKS vanished in the early spring of 1898, never to be heard from on seen again. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for information about Alfred Barker DAVIES and Alice Elizabeth Rosser DAVIES COLE. They married December 3, 1823 in Walton County, GA and shortly moved to Heflin in what became Cleburne County, AL. Their children were James R. DAVIES(1-10-1826 to 2- 12-1905), Charlotte Elizabeth DAVIES LESTER (10-6-1828 to 12-30-1894), Susan E. DAVIES NIXON (6-20-1833 to 10-25-1890), Bartilda DAVIES BENTLEY STOVALL(4-16-1841 to 10-1923), Margaret DAVIES (10-18-1838 to 1909), and Frances Caroline DAVIES. Alfred died about 1841-1847 and Alice married William COLE in 1847. She had two children by him -- William and Moses. Would appreciate any information, especially on Alfred Barker DAVIES.

KITE Ancestry. Looking for anyone who might have any information regarding the KITE's who live in Cleburne County in the late 1800's to early 1900's or any descendents presently living there. Especially Caswell KITE who owned property around Muckfall. Also any information on Holly KITE that was listed in 1870 -1880 census as living with Richard and Sarah GIBBS. Sarah GIBBS was Sarah Sally KITE before marring my Great Great Grandfather Richard. They migrated from NC to GA to AL. There was also a David KITE. Any info would be appreciated
