I am searching for information on Joseph R. GENTRY b.1827 and d. Oct. 2, 1895. He married Mary E. LANGLEY on Jan 7 1849 in Campbell Co., GA. They were both born in GA. Their children include: James Wyatt b. May 16 1853, Elizabeth b. 1858, Amanda Bell b. 1860, Phoebe b. 1867. I have a copy of a land record showing Joseph R. as being in Cleburne Co., AL in 1879. Supposedly they died in the early 1900's in AL. Mary's brother, James Wyeth LANGLEY married Eatha Malinda SHELLNUT, who was the daughter of John SHELLNUT, who was the son of Elizabeth Gentry and Andrew Shelnut. Elizabeth is the gggranddaughter of the Nicholas GENTRY, the immigrant.
