WATKINS, COFFEY, BENNETT, WARREN, DAVIS -- I am looking for information on the WATKINS of Cleburne. James, Andrew G., Walton, Matthew, and John G. WATKINS were in Cleburne. What was the relationship between them? John G. WATKINS was my ggg grandfather, and I always believed James was his father, but I read in a history of Cleburne Co. that James was his grandfather.The G. in his name stood for Griffin. I believe James WATKINS m. Mary GRIFFIN of Rowan, NC. Abner COFFEY was also a gg grandfather, and John Franklin BENNETT was a gg grandfather, and Phoebe Warren COFFEY was a gg grandmother. I am trying to locate information on N. C. HUDGENS, Lucinda DEFREESE HUDGENS, Joseph DEFREESE and Nancy EDMONDSON DEFREESE. N. C. HUDGENS married Lucinda DEFREESE in 1894 and they had one child, Joseph C. HUDGENS in April, 1895. N. C. HUDGENS died sometime between 1901 and 1904 and Lucinda married another gentleman by the name of Gabby SMITH. Lucinda's parents were Joseph DEFREESE and Nancy EDMONDSON DEFREESE. Joseph was either captured or killed at the Battle of Spotsylvania on May 12, 1984. Does anybody have any information on them?

FERGUSON, PRYOR, PARKER, BARLOW -- I am researching John David FERGUSON, b. July 19, 1848, supposedly in Charleston according to an elderly relative. His father died early in life and his mother moved to GA. He wound up at Fruithurst and was married 2 or 3 times. Would like the names of his other wives and all his children. His second wife was Sarah Ann PRYOR, b. July 9, 1860 GA. They had several children together. Would like a complete list of all his children, including theirs. They had Paul FERGUSON, b. Oct. 6, 1896 AL who married Minnie Susan PARKER, daughter of George PARKER and Frances L. BARLOW, b. 1869. John David FERGUSON was a preacher there at Fruithurst for many years and is buried there as are probably many of his children. Any info. on this family will be appreciated. Thanks.

TOLBERT, Samuel. Looking for burial place and any history of Samuel TOLBERT, a Revolutionary War soldier who in 1838 purchased land in old Benton County, on the border of Cleburn and Calhoun Counties. He was listed in 1840 Census as 87 years old, living with wife and daughter.

REYNOLDS, Levi A - married Elizabeth MAYFIELD - Talladega 1839 I believe he may have been in that area before moving to Clay County - Lineville, Delta Area. Kenady (Kennedy) William migrated from Laurens Sc. with his wife Annie Bennett BOAK and 7 Children. He is on the Randolph Cty census in 1859 and in the Almond area of Clay Cty. He was in Civil waar along with his 4 boys. He dissapeared after coming home and was never heard from again. I believe he came to Alabama with other relatives, would like to know their names and locate Williams Father. Laurens old District 96.

I am trying to locate information on my ggrandfather, Jacob Napoleon (J. N.) CROW. He lived in Cleburne County, Alabama. He died in 1893, (probably in January) and is buried in Upper Cane Creek Methodist Church Cemetery. J. N. was married to Martha Ellen COKER, they had three children, Emmett Lee, Tennie Mae, and James Homer. Any information you could give me on the CROW or COKER families would be appreciated. I would be glad to share any information I have relative to these familes.

I am trying find information on my husband's gggrandfather, Joshua ROBERTS. He was born in Albamarle County, Va. He later went to Jackson County, Georgia, where he married Anna LITTLE. In 1838 they moved to Oak Level, Alabama, Benton County, now Cleburne County, Alabama. Joshua and Anna are both buried in Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Cleburne County, Ala. Any information on Joshua ROBERTs' parents, and/or Anna LITTLE's parents would be appreciated. &
