John and Mary HOPPER'S son George Mifflin Dallas HOPPER married Louisa BOYD, daughter of William M. and Mary Jane (SMITH) BOYD. I am also seeking information about the parents and family of William M. BOYD and Mary Jane SMITH.

I am looking for Benjamin LANEY (1804SC-1880AL) His daughter Elizabeth (born 1840) had two children Emily and Nancy. His grand-daughter Nancy Jane LANEY HIGGINS (1866-1943) married Robert Young HIGGINS. She is listed as a widow in the 1900 census of Cleburne County with four children. She later moved to Randolph/Clay county, AL. I am trying to find out who her father was and where her husband Robert Young HIGGINS is buried in Cleburne County. And how he died (suppose to have died while working on the railroad near Muscadine).

Searching for parents of William BOYD(1822-1900). The 1870 census placed William BOYD in Cleburne County with his wife Mary Jane SMITH BOYD. William and Mary Jane married Feb. 5, 1843 in Meriwether County, GA. I have their children and some information about several of them. Any information about their parents and/or brothers and sisters will be greatly appreciated.

Any information on two great-great-grandfathers Isaac Newton WOOD of Shoal Creek, and Simeon V. BROWN of Chocoloca' communitys. Isacc WOOD was from Pickens Co. S.C. and came to Alabama after 1866, . Simeon BROWN was the son of Ransom BROWN ,teacher, farmer, justice of the peace for the Edwardsville area circa,1860, Simeon was the son-in-law of James Tyre WALKER of Gwinnett Co. Ga. circa 1860.

Am looking for information on Newton Nathaniel WADDELL, born in Cleburne County, Alabama, b. August 1870, Married Joanna Elizabeth NELSON, b. May 1872, also of Cleburne County, married Dec 25, 1891. One of their sons was my grandfather Elmer WADDELL, Born August 1900. His siblings were: Herbert, Acie, Jewell, Hazel, Marie, and Luke. DAVIS, PENNY, GUNTER -- William Jefferson DAVIS married Rebecca Elvira PENNY April 1, 1877 in Hall County Ga. They moved to Cleburne county Al. between 1883 and 1885. They settled in the Bells Mills community and lived their until he died on May 6, 1937. William and Rebecca along with several of their children are buried at Pine Grove Baptist Church, off Hwy 46. I am trying to locate his parents: Father: Lewis DAVIS, and mother: Mary Ann Amanda GUNTER. Lewis evidently died between 1856 (birth of last child William) and 1860 census. Mary Ann Amanda and children are living with her parents: Allen and Priscilla GUNTER of Hall County Ga. Census. Any info on Lewis, place of burial, and his parents names would be appreciated. BRADFORD, DODD of Randolph and then Cleburne County AL in the mid 1800s. My ancestors, Joseph Washington DODD and Elisabeth BRADFORD DODD were married in Gwinnett County GA about 1843, moved to Randolph about 1860 and showed up in Cleburne in 1870. I think some of her relatives may have moved along with them. Elisabeth was b. about 1820 in Fairfield District, SC. I would like to exchange information with other researchers and am especially interested in following up on the BRADFORD line at this time.

I found Abner HORTON on 1870 Census for Cleburne County, and wondered if anyone could give me info on this man. ON the 1860 Choctaw County, MS census, he is age 60, married to Ester age 36, born in SC. This indicates that he may have been married twice.
