I am looking for any information on Mary Martha DALTON BLALOCK born about 1856.Mary married Francis Marion MCELVANA and was listed in the 1900 Census in Jefferson County. She married Francis in Cleburne County about 1875. They had the following children: Margaret born June 1879, Bertha Pearl born June 1884, Jessie born December 1886, Lela born July 1894, Roscoe C. born October 1896 and Dewey born May 1900.Anyone with any information can contact me at BamaAnn23@aol.com

PERRY - I have found a land patton for Cleburne Co, AL. The date is Oct. 1, 1860 and the name on the patton is Joshua PERRY. My great-great grandfather was Joshua M. PERRY and he was born in 1832 in SC and I'm trying to find out if this is my Joshua or another. His father and mother were William and Elizabeth PERRY both from AC. The land record says: Joshua PERRY Date:01 10 1860 Location: AL

Searching for BADGETTs in Cleburne County Alabama (Oak Level area). The Son of James BADGETT and Elizabetg (RIDDLE) BADGETT, (Joseph) married Rosie DAVIS in 1896. This family was probably in the Oak Level rea from 1835 - 1896.

OWEN, HARPER, BROOKS, MCELROY, TANNER, JORDAN, SOMERVILLE -- I am looking for any info on these families! Alice OWEN is m. Alex HARPER, lived around the Edwardsvill ~ Trickum Valley area and are burried near Happy Hill Cemetery. Rev. Wm. MCELROY and wife Sarah donated the land for Mt. Paron Baptist Church, he was also the first pastor there. R.J and Julie SOMMERVILLE TANNER were from the Marrs Hill area and are burried in Marrs Hill Cemetery. James M. and Nancy Ann OWEN burried State Line Cemetery.If you have any info on any of these people please email me right away! Iam looking for information on Thurman DUNSON listed in the Alabama Deaths 1908-59. Thurman died in 1924, This is the same name and death date that I have for my Greatgrandfather who was married to Carrie SLOWE of Summerville, Ga. My wife's ancestors lived in Cleburne County, AL in 1800s. Sam STEEN worked a plantation. His daughter Leatha STEEN married James G. LEWIS of Wales about 1890 in Cleburne County. James was a miner and mined in MI and AZ before coming to Cleburne County. The first 5 of their children were born in Cleburne County: Blake LEWIS; Winston LEWIS; William LEWIS; James LEWIS; Hattie LEWIS.
