Mary Ann Ward I'm researching the lay family who moved to the cullman area around the 1830's. the story goes that my ggggrandfather rode a flatbottom boat from hamilton co. tenn. to cullman. hardy c. lay was in the al. 1st calvery,, he had two son who married barnett sisters ( william lay to mandy ophelia barnett ) ( louis thomas lay to idora lucinda barnett ) my mother was born in cullman al. also. I am looking for a lot more info on the lay's and ANYONE WHO COULD HELP ON THE BARNETT FAMILY,hary also had cousins in the calvery as well.

Jim Hahn: My family emmigrated to Hanceville in 1884 from Westheim, Germany. My Great-Grandfather, Johann Heinrich Hahn, was 8 years old, and came over to America with his uncle, George Meyer.
Any information on the Hahn family or Meyer family would be very much appreciated.
