~ William N. Davis Family Photographs ~

William N. DAVIS was the son of Eli Montgomery DAVIS and Tabitha Cumi FREEMAN of Tuscaloosa Co., AL.  He married Martha Etta LOGAN in Fayette County on 06 Oct 1889.  Consent was given by S.A.V. (Virginia) LOGAN, Eli DAVIS, and Cumy (sic) DAVIS.  The couple eventually settled just across the Fayette County line on Highway 43 in New Lexington, Tuscaloosa County.  Their children were William Carl, Delbert, Maudie Lee, Jennie, Theron, Marie, Bess, Thurmon, and Chestina DAVIS, in addition to two babies buried at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.  William was a brother to Willis S. DAVIS, who lived near Berry, AL.
