According to a relative (Margaret L. SMITH) and other sources, William Marshall "Marsh" PATTERSON married Mary Elizabeth HORN, 20 Feb 1890 in Fayette, AL.  Both are buried at Shepherd Baptist Church Cemetery in Fayette County.  They had six children: Ernest Guy PATTERSON (1891), Hosea A. PATTERSON (1892), William R. (Roy) PATTERSON (1894), Sophia E. (Ernestine) PATTERSON (1897), George Clarence PATTERSON (1901), and Mary Vashti PATTERSON (1903).  Marsh was a brother to John Ledford PATTERSON.  These particular photographs were found in a box of discards from the Fayette Library.
