GREEN, Carl and Rhoda/Rodie/Rody/Rhody, daughters, Jennie Bell married Dan Goff, Sr. born 1890/91 and Etta, married Baxter Rone, born 1896...lived near Red Bay, Franklin Co. Rhoda died in Booneville, Ms. March 3, 1924, burial unknown. Jennie Bell died 1974 Booneville, Ms. buried Oaklawn Memorial. Etta died 1936, burial unknown(probably near Booneville). Did not find them on 1900 Franklin Co. census microfilm.

Looking for the parents of: RoxieCARLOCK Sarah CARLOCK (b. 1859 AL) William CARLOCK (b. 1864 AL) Sarah and William CARLOCK are found together in the 1880 Census for Tate County MS in the household of Sarah's husband, William C. Potter. We know that Sarah and William are siblings and that they as well as their parents were born in AL. My great uncleJAMES M HORTON died in Russellville on September 18, 1936. Per his death certificate, it says he was buried in the K. of P. Cemetery. I have seen the name of a K. P. Cemetery using the internet. What does the K.P. initials stand for? Also, if anyone has a cemetery listing, I would appreciate the Horton names buried there and in particular any Horton beside/near James.

WALKER and JAMES. My greatgreat grandfather was Wilburn Walker who married a Native American lady by the name of Lucinda. I am searching for the maiden name of Lucinda. Lucinda died in Russellville, Franklin County in 1908 or 1909. She is buried in KP Cemetery. WILLIAM BURGESS and family moved to Franklin County, Al., prior to 1818, through Tennessee, from South Carolina. The move began after 1810. Born 1742 in Ireland, William Burgess migrated to South Carolina in 1772. I am trying to confirm his death to be in 1838, in Franklin county. It is not clear if his wife,MARY AGNES PARTIN (PARTAIN, PARTEN) was alive when the family reached Alabama. I am looking for a newspaper article that appeared in the North Alabamian in March 1882, about a Frederick Britton, who murdered his employer, a Mr. Rickard, then later attacked the sheriff and a deputy. He was later hung by a lynch mob. I have a transcript of the article, but really want a copy of the actual article. Does anyone know how I can find this?

GADD andMARONEY are the names I am looking for. I have John A. Maroney, son of John Aydelott MARONEY and unknown wife. John A. Maroney was born 1838 Marshall Co, AL and was in Franklin Co., AL on the 1870 census. He married Josephine GADD, daughter of Dudley & Matilda GADD, grandaughter of Major GADD. I think they married in Franklin Co. John A. MARONEY and his brother Middleton MARONEY both lived in Russellville from the 1860's to the 1880's. I don't know what became of John and Josephine, but their children moved to Texas or back to Marshall Co, AL. Middleton MARONEY moved to Red River Co, TX. David Enloe was there in 1820, his daughter Eleanor married John Weatherford......Marcus Porter Enlow married a Sarah Purser and then another woman(name unknown) had children by both. 2 of his sons born 1832 & 1834 ran away to Texas ca 1848,after thier father had remarried, the rest we don't know. Marcus was in Monroe Co. Miss 1830 census, listed on Itawamba Co. Miss taxroll 1838, 1839 bought land in 1841 and list him being from Monroe Co. Miss. There are 2 people who were in Franklin Co. From there William F. Jarman's son ended up in Arkansas, but I would like to know if anyone has a clue what part of Alabama this family came from before they settled in Franklin County. It lists in that 1900 census that both Mary C.'s and William P.'s parents were all born in Alabama. But I have been unable to locate them in an earlier census. Seeking information on DavidARNETT, born 8/18/1785 in SC, who moved to Franklin County from Tenn in approximately 1810-1812. Married to Rhode Curlee and had four children born in Franklin County; Milton, 1814; Calvin, 1816; James B, 1820 and William Washington, 1823. The family moved to Mississippi in 1828. David had nine sisters (no brothers) and one married into the Weatherford family and son John Weatherford was Sheriff of Franklin County for many years. David's father was John Arnett and Granfather was also John Arnett from Prince Fredericks Parish, Craven County, SC. David's father and his brothers fought in the Revolutionary War and served with Frances Marion. I am trying to locate the decendents of David's sisters or anyone who may have more complete information on their names. I am hoping they have more information on David's father, uncles, etc. as all I have is their names in the Last Will and Testament of my GGGGGGrandfather dated 1777.
