My gggrandfather, Rev. F.M. (Francis Marion) Jackson's obituary appeared in the Colbert County Report newspaper on August 26, 1915. It stated "Rev. Jackson represented Colbert County in the State Legislature during the '80's." Grandfather had been a resident of Franklin County until Colbert County was created in 1871. Can anyone tell me how to verify his service in the Alabama State Legislature? Christine Willingham Smith
