Swoope 			Versus			Trotter

Bill in Chancery filed in Lawrence Circuit Court by  Jacob K. Swoope
against Joseph Trotter. Bill charged that about October, 1824, the orator
and Joseph Trotter became sureties of one David J. Poore in a bond give by 
the latter as guardian of William W. & Thomas S. Logwood, infants. Said Poore
is deceased, having died insolvent. That said Poore in his lifetime commenced two
suites in the Circuit Court of limestone for the benefit of his wards, Robert Poore
was the brother of David J. Poore and had been guardian of the Logwoods previous to David.

Lewis & Gorman			versus			Bibb

On writ of error from a decree in circuit Court of Lawrence, Bill in Chancery, The complainant,
Thoams Bibb alleged  that on September 26, 1831, he purchased of Washington Lewis a certain 
tract of land in the state of Tennessee, Washington Lewis transferred notes to Paris Gorman, 
who caused suit to be brought in Lawrence County, and obtained judgement January term 1834. 
That Lewis had no title to land had since absconded from the county in autumn of 1832 and 
gone to parts unknown. Testimony taken was that of George Gorman.

June Term 1845

Bowlin				Versus			Bowling, adm'r

Writ of error of Orphans Court of Lawrence
Application by defendant in error for probate of will of Alexander Bowling. Will being
contested upon allegation that testor was not of disposing mind and memory. Defendant
in error introduced two persons who were witnesses to will each of whom deposed to the 
due and proper execution of will, and that testator was of sound and disposing mind and 
memory. Also proved that one Robert Martin had left the State anwd was now living in Ark.
