Wesley is my direct descendant, 2nd grt. grandfather, younger brother of William L. V. "Val" Montgomery. He was a fine horseman and "crackshot" as evidenced by a murder charge brought against him in 1908 for killing Dave "Bud" Pruett. The Alabama Supreme Court took up his case, overturned all charges and set him free in 1909.
