ROBERTSON
I am the great, great grandson of Higdon and Mary L. (Ponder)
Robertson. I have been working on this family tree for several years and have
repeatedly ran into "dead ends" on a few occasions. I am wondering if there are
any remaining relatives in this area of the country. To date I have not been
able to find any burial sites of the family or anything concerning them while
they lived in Lawrence County. My great grandparents were Calvin and Elizabeth
(Armor) Robertson. My grandfather was Robert (Bob) H. Robertson who moved to
Oklahoma in the early 1900's and later became a successful rancher there. I know
that my great grandmother (Elizabeth) died in Oklahoma and is buried there. My
grandfather had five brothers and sisters. James W. (buried in Oklahoma), Mary
Jane (buried in Oklahoma), Missima (died young and is buried somewhere in
Moulton), Calvin Sidney (buried in Oklahoma), and Adaline. Adaline married
Reuben S. Watkins and I assume she died in the
early 1900's and is buried somewhere in Moulton because Reuben, along with
their children, later came to Oklahoma. My grandfather's ranch house burned in
1941 and all the family pictures, etc. were destroyed. I would appreciate any
help that anyone could give me concerning this branch of the family tree.

I am seeking information on Andrew White, b. ca. 1762, d. 1838 in
Lawrence County, where he migrated from Rowan or Stokes County, North Carolina
in 1818. I'm looking for the names of his offspring, as well as his parentage if
possible.

I would like to make connection with anyone researching EVANS family lines in
and around the Hillsboro, Lawrence County area in late 1800's- early 1900's.
Thomas Richard Evans was born in Lawrence County AL, February 27, 1890. He had
brothers Willis Elmer Evans and John Jackson Evans.

I am very interested in finding out if I have any
relatives that still live in Lawrence County. My great, great grandfather was
Higdon Robertson. My great grandfather was Calvin B. Robertson. I would like any
information, photographs, or burial records that can be found. I have been
working on this family branch for sometime and there are still a few missing
pieces. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
