Looking for information on the parents of Dovie Lee ARRINGTON.Her father was Bill ARRINGTON, don't know her mother's name. She had a brother, Hoke or Hoak and a sister named Willie. There may have been other siblings. Dovie married Robert J. DAVIS and they had 5 children all born in Randolph Co., Alabama.

Looking for more information on Elijah YOUNG b: c1841-1845 GA d:?. m: Julia (SMITH?) b: c1845-1847 GA. 1870 & 1880 Randolph Co AL Census: 1870: Elijah 25 GA, Julia 24 GA, Jackson 3, Elender 1; 1880: Elijah 38 GA, July 33 GA, __?lin 14 (male), Elizabeth 12, John 10, Nathan 8, Nancy 6, James 5 (all of the children were born in AL). According to my 2nd great grandfather's - George M. Young - death certificate he was born 15 May 1869 AL, son of Elijah YOUNG and Julia SMITH, both born in GA. One (or more??) of George YOUNG's siblings lived in TX in the 1920s? Elijah & Julia were not on the 1900 AL Soundex. Did they move to TX? George M. YOUNG lived in GA (county?) in 1895 and by 1899 was in AL. He lived in Cherokee Co AL in 1920 until his death in 1941.

I am searching for the family of COFIELD in Randolph County, Alabama. James COFIELD b. ca 1865 married Mary BUTLER b. ca 1866. I know they had a son named James Gilliam COFIELD. They also had sons named Russell and Rosevelt. They had other children I am not sure of names. Please help if you can.

COCKRELL - Henry Rayburn "Bud" COCKRELL, son of John Floyd and Ann Hazeltine EDMONDS COCKRELL was a brother to my grandfather Oliver Reese COCKRELL of Randolph County. He first married Janie ARMSTRONG in Alabama then moved from Randolph County to Texas. He then married Mrs. Lavenia SMITH in Texas and the family lost track of him. if anyone is a descendant of Bud please contact me.

Stephen Daniel SIMS and wife Frances Missouri McDOWELL SIMS were married 3/6/1879 in Chambers Co., Alabama. They had six children, Ola Crawford, Alice SIMS married Tom ROWLAND, Sarah Elizabeth Ann SIMS born 9/12/1882 married Joseph Franklin HALE, John Ellis SIMS, Sr. born 9/15/1884 marreid Mattie Lee BRAND 2/19/1911 daughter of James BRAND and Letishie TYSON, Stephen Daniel SIMS, Jr. born 4/5/1889 died 6/19/1968 and Thomas Alexander SIMS born 1/06/1892 died 7/6/1974. Family bible shows Stephen Daniel SIMS Sr. father to be a Meran ( Merren, Marion) not sure. This family lived in the Randolph County area. I am interested in finding his full name, birth and death information and also his wifes name.

Jerry Lee HUCKEBA and wife Elizabeth (Beth) KNOTT lived in Newell, Alabama area. Jerry Lee HUCKEBA died 6/1/1931 and wav buried in Newall, Alabama. I only have one son's name Harson Stuart (Harvey) HUCKEBA was born 5/31/1904 in Alabama and died 4/7/1959 in Marshall County, Wedowee, Alabama. He was buried at Harmony Congregational Methodist Church. Harve married Nancy R. EAST KEY in Carrollton, GA. There were 9 children Evelyn Etail, Jewell, both born in Dekalb, County, Alabama, William Clarence , James Melvin, Mary Ellen, J.L., Gaines Hershel and Roy Curtis all born in Randolph County, Alabama and Mavis Alean born in Dekalk County, Alabama. I have not been able to find Jerry Lee and Elizabeth HUCKEBA in Randolph or Chamber County Census. I need birth and death dates and places.

Researching the family of Thomas THRASHER who was in Randolph Co 1840 through 1870. He was a veteran of the War of 1812 and received bounty land in Randolph Co. He had a daughter named Lucinda b. 1825 to 1830 married before 1850 probably in Randolph Co. she was born in GA I don't know who she married but appears from her brothers obituary to still be living after 1900. If anyone can give me a lead on this Lucinda or anyone researching Thomas THRASHER and wife Mahalia please contact me.

Albert WHITE was b 1825 AL and mar. a woman named Narcissa before 1843, and they lived in Kemper Co. Ms. in 1860 and 1870 census. Then 1880 he had moved his family to Monroe. Children: William Wesley, Serena Eveline, Hilda, Robert, Mary Margaret and Newton Mahan WHITE b 1846 AL. mar. LaMinda or Mindrey just before 1870 census. Looking for descendants of Andrew Barden 'Bard' CALDWELL b. 28 May 1872 Randolph Co, AL and Lucy H. PULLENS b. Feb 1876 Randolph Co, AL. Known children of Bard and Lucy are: Sallie b. June 1896-97, Hobson/Hopson b. Oct 1900, Mary b.1901, Bessie b. 1902, Lizzie b. 1903, Gaynelle b 1905, Eva V. b. 1908 and Audrey b. 1910. Bard and his family left Randolph Co, AL about 1913-15. Bard death on 12 March 1941 is recorded in the family bible but no other info. Please help!

Please provide information as to the ownership of the cemetery where my great great grandparents Hardy RICHARDSON and Samantha TEEL or TEAL are buried (formerly belonged to a church North of Wadley that is no longer there). I have found Hardy RICHARDSON in the 1860 Alabama census, but I understand that the Randolph County Courthouse burned in 1896. Other relatives include George W. DAVIS and LouL SIGGERS (both living), and his parents, Joe DAVIS and Odessa TUCKER -- buried at a Methodist church cemetery just North of Wadley.

Seeking info on descendants of John C. HANSON (10/15/1801-3/5/1868)and Nancy BARRETT (8/20/1809- 3/5/1868) who married in Morgan Co., Ga 6/30/1825. They had the following children: William, Armstead, Martha, Elihu, Peter, Elizabeth, Amanda, John C., Frances, Joseph. John C. and Nancy HANSON are buried in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Lee Co., Al. Robert USSERY, Jr's wife was Julia _______who was born in 1826 in NC or GA. What was Julia's last name and where are she and Robert, Jr. Buried. They lived in Randolph in the 1850's and 1860's. Their children were William, Emily, Zachery Taylor, and Robert Franklin who was born 1852 and is my husband's grandfather.

My G-G-G Grandfather, Chesley HAY appears in the 1840, 1850, and 1870 census for Randolph County. His daughter, Parthenia HAY married Hardin JONES and they appear in the 1850 and 1870 census for Randolph County. They later moved to Cleburne County and appear in the 1880 Census for Cleburne County. The family separated in the 1890's, moving to Marshall County, AL: Carroll Co. Ga., and to Texas. I am attempting to locate some of the descendants of Chesley HAY, as I know nothing about the family, other than the daughter that married Hardin JONES.

Looking for information on family of ggrandfather, Thomas Franklin COOK, born 12-Feb-1867 in Randolph County, Al. Died 2-May-1908 in Randolph County, Al and is buried in Glenn, Troop County, Ga. Thomas had two wives. His first was Emily WINGO. Emily died 3-Jul-1902 and is buried at Standing Rock, Randolph County, Al. Thomas' second wife was Viola BANKS. Thomas' father was William Frank COOK, born 14-Nov-1835, unknown. Died 17-Jul-1894 and buried in Chambers County. William's wife was Eliza B. CLIETT. Would appreciate any info on Thomas's brothers and sisters, Williams birth place and his parents. Thanks.
