BROWN, GRIFFITH, KIRK, LYNCH, MORRIS, NOEL, PERRY, PETERSON, PRUITT, WALLS posted by Ruth Hasten Walsh on Wednesday, February 20, 2002

Researching all members of PERRY families originating in Randolph Co., AL. I'm particularily in desc. of James W. PERRY and his wife Martha A.C. NOEL. Their children were (1) George N. PERRY who married Julia A. KIRK ;(2) George Washington L. PERRY who married (first) Susan MORRIS and (second) Lizzie WALLS; John Frank M. PERRY (aka Frank PERRY) who (first) may have married E. R. PETERSON and (second) Mary Susan LYNCH and (3) Rhoda PERRY who was second wife of Richard Green GRIFFITH. Martha A.C. NOEL was dau of Richmond NOEL and Rhoda Waters PRUITT. Her second husband was F. M. BROWN. I believe James W. PERRY was son of a William PERRY who may have been son of Hugh PERRY, Sr., however, I've definitely establish James W. PERRY's ancestry. Any help appreciated. Does anyone know who F. M. BROWN was that married Martha A.C. NOEL PERRY?

My gggrandfather George Washington BURROUGHS was born in 1850 in Randolph Co. (it later became part of Clay Co.) His father is unknown and his mother was always known as Mary BLACK. What records might still exist that would tell us why she had a different name. Or were they all destoyed by the fire. All ideas would be welcomed.
