Twickenham Town Chapter marked the gravesite of Revolutionary
War patriot Lewellen Jones. He was born in 1760 and died
in 1820.
His spouse's name was Mary and he is buried on the campus of the University of Alabama, Huntsville, in a lovely
fenced section, adjacent to the administration building.
Pictured to the
left is local historian Jacque Reeves, who is a descendant
of Lewellen Jones and a chapter
member.

November 19, 2000, at Maple
Hill Cemetery, the chapter held a grave marking
ceremony for our deceased member Gladys Wicks Nixon.
Pictured are Colonel James Fred Nixon, Jr., Gladys'
two daughters and their spouses, and his son.
