My gggrandfather was THOMAS JEFFERSON LAWRENCE. According the 1900 MO census, he was born in Alabama about 1859. Would like to find his birthplace and family. Family know nothing of his ancestors. Any info appreciated.

Looking for a marriage between groom with surname Duke and bride with surname Ayers. They had a daughter, Georgia Anna, born 3/17/1860. "Brick wall" for Joseph H NICHOLS, born ca 1840 in Alabama (according to 1880 census or Orleans parish, LA). Would appreciate any help on where and when born, parents, siblings, etc. What I do know - was in Greenwood, MS (1873); married in Algiers, Orleans parish (1874) to Sarah (Sadie) E TODZWER; lived in Dallas, TX (1874-1879) and operated a food and grain business on Commerce St. Returned to Algiers where Sarah TODZWER NICHOLS died in Dec of 1881. Joseph's whereabouts after her death unknown as is his whereabouts prior to 1873. It is estimated that he died prior to 1895. Only surviving child, Joseph B NICHOLS, born Dallas 1878 and died in New York City in 1913. Any help greatly appreciated. Rich Nichols
