Early Communities, Schools and Churches in Boone County Arkansas

For many people an interest in genealogy extends to wondering about the towns and communities that were once bustling with activity but declined after the advent of the automobile. The schools are long gone from these little communities, but some times the churches remain.

I am attempting to document a brief history of early communities, schools and churches of Boone County. Please see the link below for a list of early schools in Boone County. Most of the schools have a description of their location and many have additional information and/or photographs.
