        Miss Caroline Schnitzer spent the holidays with homefolks.

        John Owens has moved from Rogers to the E. M. Clark place.

        Mother Pierce is very low in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ely.

        G. W. White spent a pleasant day with his old friend, J. G. H. Ely, last week.

        The literary at Union Chapel is getting very interesting, the young people taking part in all parts of the programs.

        The Literary Society at Union Chapel is pro- gressing nicely under the management of G. H. Tyree, president, and Jim Scott, Secretary.

        W. J. Ash sold to R. Royster, of Glade and John Puckett, of Rogers, Ark., fifteen head of fine two year old steers, which brought $20.00 per head.

        Mrs. Eva Webb and sons, Orman and Marva, have been visiting relatives and friends near Mundell, which was highly appreciated by all. Orman is clerk at the depot at Rogers.

        The question last Wednesday night, Resolved: "That there Is More Pleasure in Persuit Than in Possession" was well debated, the affirmative winning. Those taking part were G. H. Tyree, John White, W. J. Ash, Lena and Caroline Schnitzer, Marva Webb on the affirmative side and on the negative were; C. F. Cox, George Schnitzer, John Schnitzer, W. C. Popplewell, G. W. White and Orman Webb. Recitations and good music were the features of the evening and a splendid time was had.
