He was born 1860/1864 Diamond Grove MO, died 1943 Tuskegee AL.
He was raised by Moses & Susan Carver. He never married.
He was a botanical researcher & agronomy educater.
He was famous for his research & promotion of the use of crops such as peanuts and sweet potatoes instead of cotton.
In 1896 he was invited to head the agricultural department at Tuskegee Normal & Industrial Institute (now Tuskegee University).
He remained there til his death in 1943.
