The 1850 Census & Index is complete!
Added several early marriages.
October 7
The 1840 Census & Index is complete!
October 5
Added the Ruddell Township to the 1840 Census and updated the Index. Only one more township to go!
Changed the format for the Marriages and it's a lot easier to read.
October 4
Added the Green River Township to the 1840 Census and updated the Index. Only two more townships to go (including the HUGE Ruddell Township) and 1840 will be completed!
October 3
Added more Wills & Administrations from Probate Books.
Another Township added to the 1840 Census (& updated Index to 1840 Census), and another Township added to 1850 Slave Schedule.
Started adding Marriages. I'm not thrilled with the way the formatting came out, so I'll be working on that, but at least we've finally got some Independence County marriages online! Yea!

Added some wonderful photographs submitted by JoyLynn Edwards, one of which proves that we've been taking our dogs and babies to the photographer since there have been cameras!
September 7
Added the 1850 Slave Schedule for Batesville Township and the complete 1830 Census and Index to the Census page.
Added early wills and administration from old Probate books, and early divorces to Old Court & Tax Records page.
Began adding transcription of the 1840 Census and the corresponding Index. Two townships (Black River and Washington) are completed so far and I'm working on the rest.

Created the website, including home page, tax list page, Old County officials page, bios page, and what's new page.
