- Adison ANTHONY appeared on the 1850 census of Ouachita
and Calhoun Counties. First with the Elkanah SULLIVENT
family and secondly with the James HINTON family in
Camden. We believe he was born about 1829 in VA. He named
his first child after John FRANKLIN, a neighbor. Were

- CAULEY, DRAKE, PARKER, STRICKLAND, TURBERVILLE posted by Floyd Griffin on Thursday, July
3, 1997
- CAULEY, DRAKE, PARKER, STRICKLAND, TURBERVILLE - I am
seeking information on Bartholomew CAULEY, my
gggrandfather, who moved from Covington Co., AL to
Ouachita, Arkansas around 1857. Found him on land records
of 1860, also his son David CAULEY, and daughter Rebaca.
Their other daughters are also believed to have gone to
Arkansas. Winneford, Winey, who married a STRICKLAND,
Hepasbeth who married a DRAKE, Nancy who married J. J.
TURBERVILLE, and Elizabeth Ann who married a PARKER. I
know David returned to Covington Co., AL and I believe
that the other son, John R. CAULEY, my ggrandfather
remained in AL. Can anyone share any information on these
families? Where and when did Bartholomew and his wife
die? Where are they buried? How about the daughters and
their families - where did they go? Thanks for any help
you might be able to give me.
