PECK, YOUNG posted by Nola Goodwin on Thursday, July 27, 2000

I am looking for information regarding my PECK ancestors in the Helena, Phillips Co., AR area. I know that my great grandfather, Daniel Webster PECK lived there around 1900. I have no other information regarding him at this point and seem to have hit the proverbial brick wall. In a record of the PECKS that my uncle Claude Edgar PECK wrote, he said; "I have or may have two half-aunts some where in Arkansas, also two cousins, children of Uncle James Henry PECK, one a daughter born of his first wife, a Montezuma girl of the YOUNG family. The other is a boy born of an Eastern girl, a Daniel Voorees PECK." I would greatly appreciate if anyone can give me additional information regarding these people. I have a lot of information too that I am willing to share on Daniel Webster PECK'S son, Claude Emerson PECK and his descendants.

ROPER posted by Jane Nabours on Thursday, July 27, 2000

Who is Sarah Greene ROPER'S husband? She is my gggrandmother. Her children (that I know about) are: Pleasant G., Margaret, William, John and Sallie (my ggrandmother). The 1860 Phillips Co. Census, Big Creek Township, does not list her husband, he doesn't show up in the Conf. Pension List, so I am assuming he died before 1860.
