She was born around 1929 and died in 1959. She was my grandmother. Her mother was Ernestine BLAIR DECAMP, also from Helena or West Helena.

COLE posted by Kathy Rytych on Monday, August 26, 2002: My g-g-uncle, Eleazar COLE, died July 27, 1863 from the wounds that were inflicted during the Battle of Helena, July 4th. I hope that someone can tell me where he is buried. He was a Full Sargent, 2nd Class,with the 29th Iowa Infantry.

CLEMMONS, CLEMONS, HENDERSON posted by Dawn Dykes Petz on Thursday, October 3, 2002: Hi, Just getting back online and thought I would update info on the CLEMONS/CLEMMONS family that I'm looking for. Charlie C. CLEMONS/CLEMMONS was married to Arsena Unknown and they lived in or around Marvell, Phillips Co.,AR. This was probably in the early 1900's. They had 4 children: (1)Homer marr.Unknown. I do know that he had several dau's whose names were possibly Ann, Dorothy, Charlotte and one more unknown. He also had a son named Duke?(2)Mabel marr. a HENDERSON and he was a traveling salesman/preacher.(3)Roy(twin) marr.Tina Unknown and it is thought that they had a dau named Francis and a son named Cleo/Leo? (4)Coy (twin)marr.Juanita Unknown and possibly had one boy, one girl. Mabel believed to have stayed in AR,but the 3 sons/families? moved out to the San Diego,CA area or the Burbank area to work at the Lockheed factories in the 30's or 40's. The father,Charlie CLEMONS is supposed to be buried in a Marvell, Phillips Co. cemetery, but he doesn't have a marker, acc. to one source. Some or all of Homer's dau's believed to have moved to the Little Rock,AR area and possibly still living there.If this sounds familiar to anyone, I would appreciate any clues,whatsoever. HARRINGTON posted by Lee Cate on Saturday, October 5, 2002: My first cousin, Charles HARRINGTON, of Helena, Phillips County, AR was killed in the mid 1950's. At the time he was a student at the University of Arkansas and a group of boys were spending the weekend in a mountain cabin. He was found lying dead on a highway but I do not know where. I do not have dates of birth or death. Can you give me any ideas of where I might find information about the death? I had thought that I might get dates from a tombstone which is probably in the Maple Hill cemetery in Helena.

DAVIS posted by Judy Davis Gates on Thursday, October 24, 2002: I am looking for any information on brothers Clarence (b.1902) and Andrew Pickett DAVIS. They lived in Helena in the 1900's. Their parents died and they were raised by a sister. They left Helena for Mississippi circa 1927-30. Clarence looked as if he had Chinese ancestors. They were Aferican-American.
