BELL, HARRINGTON, STEWART posted by Nanci Swindle on Thursday, May 1, 2003: I am looking for information on a Priscilla Jane BELL who married a George STEWART maybe in Phillips Co., ARK. If anyone has access to the marriage records, I would appreciate a lookup for this marriage it would have been after 1850 and before 1859. Also supposedly Priscilla Jane Bell Stewart married a William HARRINGTON in 1859, if you have the date of that marriage I would appreciate it. Thanks, Nanci

Also on the 1880 Phillips co Ar census is Isobella REAVIS 50 b SC, dau Mary M 21 b Ar and John J 18 b La. 1880 VanBuren Co find Isabella and James HOOTEN in hh of a John ENGLISH, she is listed as dau and he as sil, their chn also were listed William 8, Martha 6, James W 4 Thomas W 7 mos. This is confusing since she is listed as REAVIS time or marr, her mother and siblings are REAVIS, yet she is listed as dau of John ENGLISH. Sure could use some input on these families. Thank you. Would like to know if the town of Hugo still exists? Where is it? Are there cemeteries there? I've been told Hugo was just north of Wabash. Couldn't find Hugo or Wabash on my map. Rose Mary Lankford

FLOOD, GRIMES, ROCK posted by Melanie Rock on Thursday, June 12, 2003: Looking for any information on a Hiram ROCK (possibly two, father and son?) Received land grants in Phillips county in 1849, but do not show up in Phillips County Census in 1840 or 1850. There is a Hiram ROCK listed in the 1850 Census in Independence county, AR. Two marriage licenses were issued to Hiram Rocks - one in 1852 to a Mary Jane GRIMES and one in 1860 to a S.E. FLOOD. Any information would be appreciated.

Is this correct? Can I get a birth certificate some where? Her Parents were Orvel Jackson BEHURST and Eva Pearl SHOWALTER.
