Her name was Audrey or Orbie Miller PRICE. Her mother's maiden name was Bessie KELLY and her father's name was Jim MILLER. This is all I know about them. My grandfather was Dee Washington PRICE. His father was George PRICE. I would like to find out anything I can about my family. I would also like to locate my Grandmother's grave. She was buried in the De Valls Bluff Cemetary, but her grave is unmarked and we have not been able to find it to put a headstone on it. It would mean alot to my Mom to be able to mark her mother's grave. All her relatives who would know where she is buried has died, but would not show her where the grave was. He was married first to Caroline SPILLER of Kunvald. They had at least two children: Marie was born Sept 10, 1862 in Kunvald. She married Emilian Hazel KNOELL in 1880 in Kunvald or Rokitnitz, Bohemia. They emigrated in about 1892 and settled in Custer Cty NE. Marie had a brother named Franklin b. 1876 in Kunvald who died in 1923 in Hazen Twp, Prairie County AR. Information on site about the 1910 census has Joe 58 as head of family and farmer married to Josephine 56 (who must be a second wife). Children are Frank 32 (must be brother of Marie) and Joe 18. In the cemetery index, I find LANGERs: Edward, Francis, Frank, Gene, Joe, Josef, and Josephine. This family was Catholic. I would really appreciate anything about them. QRYTEXT:I am looking for information of Willie and Clara Snider DOYAL who were living near Des Arc in the late 1800's. Willie was beleived to be a strawberry farmer from St. Francis County. The couple had 6 children: Jimmy, Annie, Fannie, Mattie, Emma and Lizzie. Three of the children died young. Fannie is my Grandmother. Willie and at least one daughter died around 1899 and are buried in an unmarked grave possibly at King Cemetery. They died of Malaria during a blizzard and had to be buried in the snow until help could come and the ground thawed. If you have any information on this couple, please contact me. I have hit a brick wall with Willie as he died so young. I have only recently found out that Grandmother Clara married again in 1904 in Prarie County. Her second husband was Math HODGE. I am a resident of Kansas City (Jackson County), Missouri, and I've recently embarked upon a genealogical research project for the surnames WOODFORD and WASHINGTON in Woodruff County and Prairie County, respectively. I've read with interest the Prairie County History website, and have the following questions: 1. Does the Cemetery Inscription Book contain actual inscriptions and/or obituary information for the persons listed on the web pages? How can I get a copy of the book? I am specifically interested in inscriptions noted for George WASHINGTON (multiple entries are indicated), Cora WASHINGTON and another WASHINGTON, for whom the given name isn't listed. 2. Does the book contain information on blacks buried in Prairie County? The WOODFORDs and WASHINGTONs included in my research for the time period 1860-1930 are black and mulatto. 3. Is there any information about the WASHINGTON surname in what was previously known as Lower Hill Township (now Biscoe, as I've been told)? I am seeking information related to a 13 year-old black girl named Cora WASHINGTON who may have become pregnant by an older man, named Charlie S. WOODFORD who appears to have been 29 at the time he fathered her child, Rufus C. WASHINGTON. (Rufus C. WASHINGTON is my maternal grandfather, b. 29 Aug 1895, enumerated in 1910 Woodruff County Census in WOODFORD household as "nephew"). The story I've heard is that my grandfather's mother died in childbirth, and his father committed suicide. The family history I have suggests that he went to live with his grandparents in Cotton Plant, Arkansas. However, my research indicates otherwise -- I believe that the 16 year-old Cora Washington I located in the Prairie County 1900 Census is actually my grandfather's mother. My theory is that she and Charlie Woodford conceived a child, and she later married Horace C. WOODFORD in 1904 -- Horace and Cora were in the Woodruff County 1910 Census (Cora was then 26, which makes sense). If Horace did kill himself, then Horace would have married his brother's mate (as was customary years ago), and raised his brother's child as his [Horace's] nephew. QRYTEXT:Looking for info on my ggf, J.W. KIMBLE (believed to be James William), born in AL in 1825. Married Mary Ann BOLEN (BALEN) also born in AL about 1851. Two children born in AL: Mary E., born about 1868 and Robert H., born 1870. Sometime between 1870-1875 the family moved to Hardin County, TN. Third child, Charles Wesley born about 1875. Family appears on the 1880 TN census in Hardin County as KIMBELL. It is believed that Mary Ann BOLEN KIMBLE died between 1880 and 1882 and J.W. KIMBLE married Mary TOLBERT. Mary TOLBERT KIMBLE had two sons by J.W.: Marion Francis, born 1883 and William Edgar, born about 1884. Both born in the Hardin-Hardeman-McNairy County, TN area. Two of the boys, Charles Wesley and Marion Francis married in Middleton, TN 1903-1906. William Edgar was living near Collierville, TN in 1918 when he registered for the draft.

J.W. KIMBLE's sons eventually located near Forrest City (St. Francis County, Linden Island), Arkansas, probably around 1900-1910. Robert Henry's son, Sidney (my father), was born on Linden Island in May 1910. About 1920, Robert Henry moved his family to Prairie County. He farmed there, for perhaps two years, and then moved back to St. Francis County. I would like to know if J.W. was with his sons when they came to AR, or did he die in Tennessee.

I have death certificates on two of J.W.'s children -- one lists father's name as "Jim" and the other as "Billy". Any information on J.W. KIMBLE or his family will be greatly appreciated.

QRYTEXT:Around 1920, my gf, Robert Henry KIMBLE, took his family from St. Francis County to Prairie Co. They were farmers. My father, Sidney, who was born in 1910, told the story of riding the lead mule that was pulling the wagon as they moved. He was probably about 10 at the time so perhaps the family was somewhere near Des Arc on the 1920 census. Robert Henry and family farmed in Prairie County for a few years and then returned to Forrest City. What I would really like to know is: was my ggf, J.W. Ella was born in Saulsbury, Hardeman, Tennessee on 4 Mar 1852. Sebron was born in Tuscaloosa, Floyd, Georgia on 21 Jul 1847. His father was William GOLDING, born 1805 in South Carolina? His mother was Elizabeth LAURENCE, born in 1804. William GOLDING is listed in the Index to "Early History of Des Arc and It's People" along with a handfull of other GOLDINGs. William's father was supposedly also named William, born in Wiltshire, England, abt 1775. His wife was Martha JOHNSON, born 1777, of South Carolina. I am a descendent through Sebron's son Loren.
