MRS. NANNIE THEBY, aged 83, grandmother of Mrs. Oscar Burrow of Pocahontas, died at her home in North Little Rock at 3:15 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 22. Mrs. Theby suffered a broken hip about a month ago, after which pneumonia developed. Mrs. Burrow was at her grandmother's bedside when she passed away.
Mrs. Theby was born in St. Louis, Mo., Dec. 29, 1858. For many years she operated a dance academy in Little Rock.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. W. E. Carter at the Owens & Co. Chapel, in Little Rock, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial was in Edgewood Memorial Park.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Stark of Topeka, Kans.; a son-in-law, W. E. Clark, of North Little Rock; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A number of Mrs. Burrow's close friends in Pocahonas went to Little Rock Sunday to attend the funeral services.
