WENDELL HOLMES, 24, of Pocahontas, who had been visiting with a sister, Mrs. H. A. Going, in Anderson, Ind., died in Anderson Feb. 23, following an operation for appendicitis.
He was born Dec. 27, 1916, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Holmes, of near Pocahontas.
Funeral services were conductd from the Skaggs Church of Christ Tuesday by Bro. A. B. Shaver. Song services were rendered by the church choir, under the direction of Bro. Shirley Allison. Interment was in Masonic cemetery in Pocahontas, McNabb Undertaking Co. in charge.
Mr. Holmes is survived by his wife; his parents; three sisters, Mrs. Charline Going, Mrs. Charles Mabrey of St. Louis and Mrs. H. H. Prevett of Tulsa, Okla., and a number of other relatives.
