NAME: Billie Napolitano
EMAIL: billienap@aol.com
SURNAMES: MERIDITH, MEREDITH
QRYTEXT: Looking for information on any MERIDITH or MEREDITH families who lived in Randolph County in the mid to late 1800's. My direct line is Thomas Meridith who was born on 19 Dec 1842 in Gasconade County MO. He served in CO F 31 MO Infantry and had enlisted at Douglas Prairie on 21 Aug 1861. Thomas married Juramyra E. Graham (born Mariah Elizabeth Graham on 4 July 1848)on 11 Nov 1869 in Gasconade County, MO. They moved to Randolph County probably with two sons John J. Meridith born 8 October 1871 and Henry (W.H.) Meridith born on 4 May 1874. Looks like they relocated to Randolph County in 1874 until 1886. If that is so, then Charles H. Meridith born 28 March 1878, Mary E. Meridith born 8 February 1880 and James Lester Meridith born 25 June 1881 would have been born in Randolph County. The last child Martha Ann Meridith would probably have been born in Boone County on 14 October 1890. The migratory information was obtained from his Civil War records. The final resting place for Thomas, Mariah, W.H., Martha Ann and James Lester is in Grove, OK. Charles H and Mary E. are buried in Jay, OK and John J. is in Chance, OK. I do know that Thomas was seen by a Dr. J.W. Pillow In Lima regarding his service connected disability. Would like to know the Meridith line of my family better. Thank you for any help. Billie
