LOUISA C. VINSON
Louisa C. Vinson was born March 15, 1828 and died Nov. 9th 1912:
being a member of the Flatwoods Baptist church at her death. She leaves
4 sons and 2 daughters. May God comfort the bereaved children and
grandchildren of grandma, and may they feel that God does all things
best. 'Tis so sad to part with loved ones but there is a sweet consoling
thought of meeting them again. Death is oh so sad but a debt we
all must pay. Dear sisters and brothers weep not; death is sad indeed
but there are things far more sad, while we mourn for her she is peacefully
sleeping, no sound e'er disturbs her in her slumber now. She has no pain or
fevered brow, may God help us to meet her where we'll never say good-bye.
I'm thinking to night of my loved ones in heaven,
That beautiful mansion of rest,
Where Christ is the light of the faithful for ever,
In that beautiful home of the blest. J. E. Hinkle

CLARENCE
G. WADE ________son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry B. Wade
died September 15th 1914. This little angel was two years, five months, and five
days old when it died. (b. 4-10-1912) This darling little babe had taken
whooping cough a few days before and then fever followed. Therefore under the complication
of disease his sweet and tender life could here no longer stay, but to the cold and icy
hand of death his dear little body was forced to yield and give up the precious and sweet
spirit that God had formed. The spirit, or soul of dear little Clarence is gone back
to God who gave it, and he is in Paradise at home where he will reign with Jesus.
He was taken to Flatwoods Cemetery.

SAM WADE On July 23, 1914(?), the death angel came and took from our midst one of
our loved ones. He was just in the bloom of life, being only 27 years, 4 months, and
6 days of age. It is sad, indeed, to part with dear Sam. There is a vacant chair in
his home, a voice hushed and a spirit gone. He leaves a heart-broken father, 4
brothers and a sister, with a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss; but, to
the dear, feeble and heart-broken father, we will say cheer up and look forward to the
time which is not far distant when you shall clasp glad hands with all your loved ones who
have gone on before to that beautiful land where there will be no more parting, no weeping
and no tears. Good bye, gone, gone, forever. Amen

RUTHIE WADE Ruthie, the little girl of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wade died Friday night at 12
o'clock. The little one had been sick with whooping cough for some time, and passed
to be with Jesus Friday night. although it is God's will, and He knows best, yet it
is so hard to give up those we love so dear; but if we live as Jesus wants us to, we shall
all go to live with these little ones again some day.
Darling Ruthie, she has left us,
Left us, yes, for-ever-more:
But we hope we meet this loved one
On that bright and happy shore.
Two little angels now on high:
They, hand in hand, ________
Two links now bind us with the sky:
Two fingers beckon us to come.
Lord, give us strength and less to bear
And lead us in the heavenly ways.
Oh! May we meet those children___
In _____of everlasting _______

ORIS O. WALLS
Oris W. Walls was born June 24th, 1913, died April 7th, 1920, Aged 6
years, 9 months and 13 days. Funeral service was held at Herpel on the
8th in the presence of a large congregation of sympathizing relatives and
friends. Oris fell into the mill pond and was drowned. It is sad
indeed. He was a lovely child. Met every one with a smile always
pleasant. But I would say to all concerned, sweet Oris has gone to where there
is no more death nor crying, neither pain nor suffering. So let us be
resigned and say, Lord, they will not ours be done. Written by Oris'
dear friend, W. A. Wade.
